Assist clients with medication
Work with people with mental health issues
Establish relationships, clarify needs, and then work collaboratively with people who are living with mental health issues.
Prepare for and provide medication assistance, and complete medication documentation. It also involves supporting a client to self-administer medication. This unit is nationally accredited and ensures you are compliant in industry.

Apply basic principles and practices of infectious prevention and control
Follow safe work practices for direct client care
Participate in safe work practices to ensure their own health and safety, and that of others in work environments that involve caring directly for clients.
Follow organisational infection prevention and control procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks.
